Kootenai Health is seeking a Director, Clinical Services to help run a very busy and growing Perioperative Services - Operating Room. Kootenai Health is a Level II Trauma Center, verified by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.

The Job -
As the Director you will have 24-hour accountability for the daily operations of the department, and assists the director in planning and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and services for the unit. You will put your firm yet fair leadership standards to good use when ensuring and maintaining staffing by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training clinical staff, ensuring that staff is currently in their competency, assessments, licensure, certifications, and other annual training. You will put your servant leadership style to use by assisting nurse management by providing continuing education, strong leadership, and access to the Mayo Clinic Network, and co-workers that are supportive and care about their work. The Minimum Qualifications -
Master's degree required
Bachelor's degree or higher which is relevant to the clinical area if providing direct supervision of clinical staff.
State of Idaho Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with Idaho required or Licensed Pharmacist in Idaho or eligible for Idaho Licensure.
5 years' experience in healthcare management required. Hospital experience desired.
Broad and intensive understanding of clinical operations and the related functions of administration and the service lines.
Demonstrated business acumen and management skills associated with budgeting, program development, planning, and execution.
Knowledge of negotiations and change management.
Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Excellent and proven leadership skills incorporating accountability, open communication, and team building.
