7West is MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s 16-bay procedural PACU. Experienced nurses provide post-procedural care according to ASPAN standards to patients recovering from surgery or procedures, including interventional radiology, bronchoscopy and cardiac catheterization. MedStar Georgetown is currently seeking a clinical manager of the procedural PACU to assume clinical and 24-hour administrative authority. This leader would be responsible for the management and direction of the operational, personnel and financial activities of the unit. As an essential member of our supportive Pre & Postoperative leadership team, you would work in collaboration with nursing educators, clinical managers, clinical leaders and a director. Specific responsibilities of this leader include:
Planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care delivery system to ensure that the care performed is integrated within the MedStar Georgetown Professional Practice Model and promotes continuous, consistent, efficient, and accountable delivery of patient care.
Ensuring Magnet® structure and processes are implemented and maintained by promoting evidence-based practice and collaborative governance.
Participating in strategic planning, program development, quality & performance measurement
Education: BSN required. A Master's degree in Nursing preferred and/or equivalent in experience and/or continuing education. Specialty certification desirable.
Education: Minimum of four years of experience preferred; PACU experience required.
Leadership experience preferred.
