RN Registered Nurse Educator – Surgery Center Penn State Health St. Joseph (Reading, PA)
The RN Educator works under the general supervision of the Director of Employee Organizational and Development, the educator is responsible for orientation, staff development and continuing education for staff in patient care areas serving all age groups. This position will be responsible for the education of all departments under Surgical Services including: PACU, Short Procedure Unit (SPU), Outpatient Interventional Stay Unit (OISU), Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Cath Lab, and Operating Room (OR).
– Graduate from an NLN accredited School of Nursing – RN. – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. – Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
– Two years of clinical Registered Nurse – RN experience. – Two years of staff development are required. – Two years of clinical experience in Surgical Services strongly preferred.
– Must possess a current state RN Registered Nurse license. – BLS instructor and ACLS instructor preferred.
