The respected Raleigh Orthopaedic Ambulatory Surgical Center located in in the Wake County is actively interviewing for a Clinical Operating Room Nursing Director to oversee two busy outpatient / day surgery department and oversee a tenured Operating Room (OR) staff. Reporting to the Administrative Director of Nursing, the ASC OR Director will take a working management role in this 4 OR and 4 Procedure Room outpatient surgery center. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Surgical Services RN, with a charge or supervisor background in leadership, to transition into a full-time ASC OR Director role. You’ll have many opportunities to develop administrative strengths alongside a tenured and seasoned Facility Leadership Team.
The ASC OR Director will lead two Ambulatory Surgical Centers, in a truly single specialty environment of Orthopaedic surgery. Your strong clinical skills will come in handy as you oversee this 30+ FTE team of Registered Operating Room Nurses, Surgical Technologists, and other support staff as you directly oversee he day-to-day operations of an ASC dedicated to Orthopedics procedures, including total hip, knee and shoulder arthroplasties.
As the Operating Room Leader for the Surgical Services Team, the OR Director will take accountability for staff education and clinical development, mentorship and employee engagement, and regular intraoperative duties as well.
Staff Education & Development: You’ll get to continue developing your clinical skills, while staying current with evidence-based standards, by creating and executing staff education initiatives.
Mentorship & Engagement: You’ll take a central role in the ongoing professional development of your Same Day Surgery team through quality and performance evaluation and shared accountability.

A current North Carolina RN license is required or ability to obtain a license.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
BLS required and ACLS preferred
A minimum of 5 years of Operating Room nursing experience in an Orthopaedic ambulatory surgical environment and 2 years of progressive management experience is required.
experience with comprehensive knowledge of surgery center business operations, preferred
High level of proficiency with Practice Management Software and Microsoft Office Suite is required
Experience with electronic medical records software in an ASC environment is preferred
