This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. The staff nurse in the Intermediate Intensive Care Unit is responsible and accountable for providing direct and indirect care to a variety of critically ill patients. As such, the RN provides nursing care for 2-3 of the most complex patients, independently carrying out all nursing functions related to cardiac monitoring, treatments, medication, vasoactive infusions and invasive monitoring modalities. The staff nurse is an integral member of the acute intensive care unit and is responsible for accurate advanced clinical assessments, interventions, evaluation and documentation of the critical care patient. Incumbent is clinically and administratively responsible to the Nurse Manager of the IICU. Work Schedule: Varies: 7:30am-8pm; 7:30pm -8:00am (overnight) Monday thru Sunday with alternate Weekend and Holidays to meet patient and program needs.
