BRAND NEW ICU! The University of Minnesota Medical Center is opening a brand new Intensive Care Unit on the West Bank campus. This is a great opportunity to be a part of establishing this beautifully remodeled new unit from the ground up.
This 10 bed unit will provide care to a wide variety of critically ill adult patients. We expect to have a lower acuity initially with room to take a higher level ICU population as it grows. This population may include respiratory failure, sepsis, overdose/withdrawal and post op surgical patients.
The RN will be responsible for close observation, hemodynamic monitoring, medication management, assistance with bedside procedures and respiratory support. Critical thinking and effective communication with all the members of the care team and families will be required.
