Director, Endocopy and Nursing Practice Lifespan – Rhode Island Hospital Providence, Rhode Island As Rhode Island’s largest health system and private employer, Lifespan is dedicated to improving the health of the people within our communities. Serving as Director, Endoscopy and Nursing Practices at Rhode Island Hospital, you will assume responsibility for the 24/7 leadership of the Endoscopy and nursing practice in all procedural areas, including the establishment of scope of practice, standards of practice, the design, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of programs and systems of patient care delivery. Duties include: - Overseeing the continuity of nursing practice across the specialties in Endoscopy and all Procedural Areas in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Partnering with procedural area leaders for oversight and direction of Nursing Services
- Developing, implementing and evaluating a service quality improvement program that focuses on family-centered care
- Establishing mechanisms for integrated and systemic evaluation of all aspects of the division
- Developing and implementing cutting-edge clinical and administrative standards consistent with the organization’s values
- Planning, implement and evaluating new patient care programs
- Governing through the empowerment of managers and staff
- Recruiting, selecting, developing, counseling or terminating employees
QUALIFICATIONS - Advanced degree; preferably MSN or currently enrolled
- Recommended 7 years of progressively responsible roles
- Demonstrated skills in program planning, financial planning, quality management, system design/redesign and advanced information systems
- High levels of analytical, qualitative and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns
- Active member in professional organization
