This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more Assesses patients, completes History & Physicals for new consults, and completes focused exams for established patients and post-op evaluations for surgical patients. Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests/studies. Imitates consults and referrals. Evaluates specialty equipment needs and initiates requests to Prosthetics and/or Logistics. Prescribes medications and supplies in accordance with VA policies, VA formulary and State regulations. Formulates, initiates and evaluates health care teaching for patients and their families. Collaborates with surgeons, Primary Care Provider and Clinic Coordinators to coordinate case management.
