This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more Responsible for the clinical management of health care to Veterans referred to the Urology Service. Performs independent initial consultations in the clinic, emergency department or inpatient setting, complete evaluations, and devising/implementing therapeutic intervention. Orders tests and procedures necessary to evaluate and treat patients. Exercises sound clinical judgment on conditions requiring consultation, referral or evaluation by the Urology Chief of other health care professionals. Manages a panel of urologic patients, including patients within the subspecialty focus. Reviews patient preparation for upcoming operative interventions, including scheduling preop consults, preop screening appointments, anti-coagulant perioperative management, and postoperative follow-up. Other clinical duties as assigned by the Chief of Urology and Chief of Surgery. Work Schedule: Monday -Friday Typical 8:00am-4.30 pm.
