RN Clinical Educator Full Time Rotating Position Summary
This position coordinates orientation and education programs for nursing staff in coordination with clinical staff, position influences quality patient care, promotes interdepartmental teamwork, enhances staff development, and participates in retention and recruitment activities. This position operationalizes adult learning theory in evaluating educational needs of the nursing staff, developing and teaching educational programs and in-services, position maintains effective relationships with staff, peers, preceptors and nursing directors to effectively promote staff education. This position will preside over all campuses, housed at our Scottsdale Campus.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills and significant experience in developing, teaching and coordinating educational programs for adult learners. This position also requires strong organization, communication, and group interaction and presentation skills. The ability to take the initiative, to problem solve and to improve processes required.
Demonstrates professional attributes: self-knowledge of personal strengths and weaknesses; customer service excellence; role mode for professional development of peers, colleagues and others; flexible in accommodating needs to customers. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with Abrazo service excellence standards.
Required: 2+ years as an Educator in an acute care setting.

Qualifications:THE RN CLINICAL EDUCATOR FULL TIME ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
Education:
Level 1 Required: Masters in Nursing, or currently enrolled in a Master�s Program.
Level 2 Required: Post-Masters in Nursing
Licensure:
Required: Valid and current Arizona RN License.
Certificates:
Required: BLS and ACLS.
Preferred: PALS and/or NRP as determined by clinical service area practice guidelines. Certification in area of practice within one (1) year of hire. (This due date may be extended if the eligibility requirements of the credentialing body cannot be adequately met within a one-year period.)
Experience:
Level 1 Required: Five (5) years of nursing clinical practice in an acute care setting and two (2) years of teaching experience.
Level 2 Required: Seven (7) years of nursing clinical practice in an acute care setting and four (4) years of teaching experience.
Preferred: Trauma and ED Experience
Level 1 Preferred: Five (5) years of nursing clinical practice in an acute care setting with at least two (2) years of recent experience in area of specialty, and two (2) years of teaching experience.
Level 2 Preferred: Seven (7) years of nursing clinical practice in an acute care setting with at least three (3) years of recent experience in area of specialty, and four (4) years of teaching experience.
Preferred: Trauma and ED Experience
Skills:
Required: Must possess mastery in basic technical and organizational patient care skills as well as develop and maintain skills related to area of practice. Must be proficient in both classroom (didactic) and on-the-job clinical (preceptor) instruction.
Preferred: Bilingual skills are preferred.
Knowledge:
Required: Nurse Practice Act; regulatory standards related to practice setting.
Technology:
Required: Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, & Excel.
Preferred: Prior experience with electronic medical record
Other:
Required: Must be able to work flexible schedules that may include some weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays.
