Brookwood Baptist Medical Center: Located in Birmingham, this 588 bed facility provides the following services: Brain & Neuro, Cancer Care, Children's Services, Diagnostics, Digestive Disorders, Ear, Nose & Throat, Emergency, Gynecological Surgery, Heart Care, infertility issues, Interventional Radiology, Maternity, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Psychiatry (one of the largest providers in the State), Pulmonary and Respiratory, Rehabilitation Services, Robotic Surgery, Sleep Center, Surgical Services, Urology, Weight Loss Surgery, Women's Health, Workforce Wellness, and Wound Care.
Coordinates activities of patient flow in the preop area.
Provides professional nursing care to patients during the perioperative phase of treatment.
Completes preoperative patient preparation prior to admission
Completes preoperative patient preparation upon admission.
Facilitates efficient completion of the surgery schedule
Maintains organized work area and participates in unit duties
Assumes the role of a professional nurse by demonstrating accountability and seeking opportunities for continued growth.
Responsible for employee satisfaction as evidenced by the annual employee survey.
Responsible for patient satisfaction as demonstrated by outpatient PSMS scores.
Performs management functions related to HR activities.
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)
Required: 1 year RN experience.
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. CPR
