ENDOSCOPY RN (BOISE CAMPUS)

St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking a part time RN to join our Endoscopy team. Are you a strong Med Surg nurse looking for your next challenge in nursing? This could be a great match for you!

Unit Summary

The Boise Endoscopy Department sees all adult and pediatric cases for multiple types of procedures. Our downtown campus is the Advance Center for ERCP and EUS, EBUS procedures for the St Luke system in the Treasure Valley. Along with these procedures we are also experienced in Bronchoscopy, Colonoscopy, EGDs both urgent and emergent cases as well as elective cases. Our nurses are well rounded providing care in pre-op, Intra-op and post-op management.

Scheduling options:

Shift options: (2) 0800-1630 OR (2) 830-1700 Mon-Fri based on staffing needs.

Self-scheduling 8-week periods

0.8 FTE (64) Hours per pay period - 8 (8) hour shifts per pay period.

Positions also requires working rotating weeknight and weekend call in an 8-week schedule. (Example: 8 nurses= 4-week nights in 8 weeks. One weekend starting on Friday through to Monday AM this rotation is every 8 weeks.)

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Manages care of patients.
• Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
• Experience: 1+ years Endoscopy experience or 2+ years Critical Care experience (ED, SICU, MICU, TELE) preferred. Will also consider an RN with 3-4 years Med Surg/Telemetry experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
