Description
This position resides in the Education Department, with emphasis on the Surgery/Perioperative Service Line in the SETX Ministry, which includes St. Elizabeth, St. Mary Mid County Outpatient, Jasper Memorial, Beaumont Bone and Joint and eventually our new facility in Orange. Responsibilities include: Unit In-Services for the service line, Peri-Op Foundations Instruction, Peri-Op 101 Facilitation, Nurse Resident Mentorship, New Hire Orientation Planning (with unit preceptors), and Annual Competency Facilitation. In addition, the candidate will responsible for American Heart Association (AHA) Instruction, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Other duties will be assigned by the Educator Director or Unit Directors based on organization needs. Candidate must hold BSN with Masters preferred. Education instructor experience including classroom and online is an advantage, must maintain highly proficient technical skills including Microsoft Office.
