In August 2003, the hospital opened the doors of this replacement facility on Hwy 441 in Tavares. The 450,000 square foot, 269-bed acute care facility offers the latest in medical technology. Each patient room is private, and the uniquely designed "clover leaf" patient care units consist of 60 beds per floor. The Emergency Department is sized to accommodate up to 60,000 visits per year.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Assesses and reassesses patients per hospital policy
- Develops the plan of care
- Provides patient education and training based on each patientâ™s needs and abilities
- Implements nursing interventions and treatments
- Mediation administration safety
- Communicates patient information
- Facilitates discharge planning
- Coordination of patient care
- Pain management
- Performance Improvement
- Patient Satisfaction
- Electronic nursing documentation
- Practices within scope of practice
- Financial stewardship
- Mentors new staff and students
- Hourly rounding using validation tool

- Assumes charge position

What will you need?
- Registered Nurse License in State of Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS)- (Accredited through American Heart Association) required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- (Accredited through American Heart Association) - at time of hire for ICU, PCU, and ED
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)- (Accredited through American Heart Association) for Women & Children's Services- Pediatrics and ED within 90 days of hire
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)- Preferred for ED
- CCRN or CEN within one year of meeting hours of eligibility
- Experience: Minimum 1 to 5 years RN experience required - (Minimum two years of experience for working in ICU or PCU)
- Education: BSN preferred
