: The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Westchester Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Family Planning Care Coordinator to join our team. This is an employed position with comprehensive benefits. Our division's goals are to provide high-quality, highly specialized care for individuals who are facing pregnancy loss or abnormal early pregnancies, as well as those who are seeking abortion and contraceptive care. The care we provide is time-sensitive, and we are dedicated to ensuring patients have access to specialized care in a timely fashion. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about providing all aspects of reproductive health care, including abortion care, and motivated to help patients access care with empathy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Perform clinical functions, including patient intake, providing patient instructions, assisting MDs/PAs during exams and procedure, entering lab orders, perioperative phone calls, answering patient phone calls and questions, administration of medications, review and triage lab results
Answer phone calls for family planning consults, referrals, and appointment scheduling
Check and respond to family planning consult emails
Maintain list of referral sources with contact information; develop relationships with referral sources; establish contact with new referral sources
Promptly respond to patient referrals by scheduling appointments per Division guidelines.
Schedule operative cases and collaborate with OR schedulers for timely provision of services
Schedule appropriate perioperative testing
Schedule patient follow-up appointments, including post-operative appointments
Send completed family planning consult letter to referral sources
Scan outside medical records into our EMR
Perform administrative functions within the EMR
Coordinate and maintain clinical supplies in the office
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
Experience in abortion clinic or other setting in which contraception and abortion services are provided is preferred
Education:
Associates degree in Nursing.Licenses / Certifications. Licensed Practical Nurse with an active license to practice in New York State

Experience in obstetrics & gynecology clinical setting preferred
