Perioperative RNs identify patient needs, set goals with patients, and implement nursing interventions and activities to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Perioperative RNs address the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual responses of patients by using standards, knowledge, judgment, and skills based on scientific principles.
