Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant 1 to join our Inpatient Ortho/ENT 5E team.
Unit/Position SummaryBoise 5 East Ortho/ENT Med/Surg Unit is a 35 bed med/surg unit caring mostly for post-op orthopedics patients in addition to general med/surg patients. The average nurse/patient ratio is 1:5. 5 East has a strong shared governance council with the opportunity to gain experience in shared decision making and is known throughout the hospital for the innovations that have come through these councils. 5E ortho is an action packed work environment known for its teamwork and passion for patient care. Responsibilities
- Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
- Documents information in patient record.
- Performs various direct patient care activities under direction of licensed patient care provider.
- Communicates information with patient care providers and other nursing staff members to facilitate patient care.
- Assists physicians and other nursing staff members with procedures as appropriate.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: None
- Experience: 0 years' experience
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current CNA Certification in the State of Practice
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification
- Must be at least 18 years old at time of offer acceptance.
