Position Information:
The Physician Assistant, under the supervision and direction of the physician medical director and other attending surgeons will provide pre and post operative care, and first assist in the OR as needed. The PA is responsible for consultations and procedures in the emergency department, and on the floor. The PA will evaluate new and returning patients in the ambulatory setting. The PA functions as an educator for students and residents from health care education programs. The PA understands the needs of the organization, and supports the mission, and values of WakeMed Physician Practices.

Experience Requirements:
1 Year Experience - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Preferred

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Physician Assistant Required - And Master's Degree Physician Assistant Preferred; Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree Nursing Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Required

Hours of Work:
Rotating

Weekend Requirements:
Every Third

Call Requirements:
Per Team Expectations
