Schedule: Full Time Days, M-F, 6:15am – 2:45pm
Shift: Flexible Times, depends on cases, normally 8 hours a day
On Call: Act as a back up nurse. Typically, On Call once a week and every 5th weekend. As we continue to hire, On-call requirements will lessen.

The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
·Implement the plan of care by:
oprotecting the patient from injury caused by extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, laser, mechanical, and thermal sources;
operforming accounting procedures to protect the patient from unintended retained surgical items;
operforming interventions necessary to ensure that the patient’s procedure is performed on the correct site, side, and level;
omanaging the patient’s specimens according to organizational policy and procedures;
ocommunicating the patient’s current status to relevant parties throughout the continuum of care;
oadministering medications safely and correctly;
operforming interventions to maintain the patient’s wound and tissue perfusion at or above baseline levels;
operforming interventions to maintain the status of the patient’s genitourinary, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological systems and fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base balances at or above baseline levels;
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Current state of Texas registered nurse licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
