We are looking for a Registered Nurse with surgical inpatient and/or pain management specialty experience. RN will provide specialty inpatient pain management to patients after complex medical procedures or patients living with chronic illness/pain syndromes.
About the Unit
The North Prep and Recovery Unit (NPRU) is a 17-bed unit located on the seventh floor of the North building. The unit prepares patients for procedures as well as ensuring a smooth, quick and comfortable recovery by providing high quality nursing care based on ASPAN standards. Service is extended primarily to adults but also includes pediatric and adolescent patients. Patients may be in Phase I or Phase II recovery upon arrival from their procedure. Hours of operation are 6 AM to 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The unit is closed overnight on weekends and holidays. Procedural services include: Adult Endoscopy, Adult Electrophysiology, Adult and Pediatric Cardiac Cath

Qualifications
Currently licensed as an RN in the state of Maryland or eligible to practice under a compact license;
BSN preferred (Associates Nurses with at least 1+ years of experience);
All applicants must have at least 2 yrs. preferred experience in surgical inpatient and/or pain management specialty.
Position requires critical thinking and ability to work independently and as part of a team providing specialty inpatient pain management to patients after complex medical procedures or patients living with chronic illness/pain syndromes.
