As a Nurse you will assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. You will promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act, and demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * KS RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact* Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's* BLS from the American Heart Association required within 8 weeks of hire (need in hand to orientate on unit)* ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required within 6 months of hire or transfer* One year RN experience preferred* Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialtyPhysical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) Shift is variable as some will be PACU 8-430p. Preop is 630a start and usually work 8 hour shifts. Usually, 1 day call per week and will have to take approx. every 5th or 6th weekend.Call Required: 1-2 weekday call shifts and 1x 24hr weekend call shift.Generally 1-2 call shifts per month. 30 minute call back radius required.Your Connected Community:St. Catherine Hospital - Dodge City, is a Joint Commission accredited 99-bed hospital that serves as a regional referral center for southwest Kansas.
