Pre-Anesthesia Assessment Nurse Surgical Services
Job Description Saint Luke's has an opportunity for a Pre-Anesthesia Assessment Nurse. This position contacts patients to obtain medical and surgical history for anesthesia review on all scheduled surgical cases. Provides patient education for each surgical procedure. Determines if pre-operative testing is indicated and arranges for testing to be completed prior to surgery. Serves as change agent for improvements in pre-assessment practices and processes. Serves as a resource to health care providers throughout the perioperative phases of surgery and to applicable nursing. Assumes mentor and preceptor responsibilities as needed.Hours for this position will be 0730-1800.At least three shifts per week this RN
