Nursing Assistant - Surgical Services
This position is located within Surgical Services of the Perioperative and Specialty Care Service, Phoenix VA Healthcare System (PVAHCS), Phoenix, AZ. The Nursing Assistant (NA) is assigned to a patient care area and floats to areas within the Medicine Specialty Clinics as needed. The NA is technically proficient in initiating, performing and completing assigned duties in providing care to a variable patient population. Major Duties: - Accurately identifies and report physical signs, symptoms, and changes to RN/supervisor in charge. - Obtains patients' vital signs, recognizes obvious discrepancies and reports discrepancies to RN/supervisor in charge. - Utilizes technical skills appropriately adjusting techniques for patients. - Initiates emergency procedures for which the employee is trai
